LODGING
Guests stay in log cabins named Deer, Elk and Trout. Each is located along the Beautiful Williams Fork River with porches, log furniture, natural gas rock fireplaces, carpeting, refrigerators, coffee makers and old-fashioned swings. You will find a jar of freshly baked cookies in your room each day. Or you can also choose one of our larger cabins for bigger families. The Cliffhouse is a 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom cabin on the river, private hot tub & laundry. The Riverside is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom also right on the river. The main lodge houses the dining room and living room with two cozy fireplaces and a big wonderful porch.

RECREATION
Horseback riding in the scenic Rocky Mountains is geared to the abilities of the riders. We offer a varied terrain riding, through rivers and streams, over mountains and up to spectacular vistas. We also have fishing in three stocked ponds and the Williams Fork River, horseshoes, skeet shooting, archery, volleyball, western dancing, Cowboy music and poetry, mountain biking, white-water rafting, hot air ballooning, gold panning, or just relax in the hot tub along the river.

FOR CHILDREN
Extensive children's program for all ages. The primary goal of our children's program is to teach your child the fundamentals of good horsemanship. Our program encompasses safety training, riding skills, care, feeding, equine anatomy and children's rodeo. We also have trout fishing, archery, gold panning, crafts, swimming hole, teepee campout, kid's cookouts and hiking. Children under 6 are with our children's counselors and horseback ride around the ranch, help with the petting zoo animals, feed the fish, crafts and also get to participate in the kid's rodeo!

FOOD/LIQUOR
Aspen Canyon Ranch is committed to food excellence on your behalf and we are certain you will look forward to each meal. From breakfast to dinner our meals are homemade and delicious. Most of our meals are served buffet style with a wonderful selection of fresh fruits, homemade desserts and homemade breads at each meal. We offer a special all adult meal at the end of the week while the children are enjoying a cookout. Special diets can be accommodated with advance notice. We do not serve liquor, but you are welcome to bring your own.

BUSINESS/MEETINGS
Aspen Canyon Ranch offers your business a private place to meet. Two meeting rooms are available September to April with a capacity of 35.

HISTORY/HOSTS
The Roderick's have owned Aspen Canyon Ranch for 13 years and are always excited to welcome new folks to the ranch. Let us take this time to personally invite you to our ranch.

ITINERARY
Guests arrive on Sundays to a wonderful meal and a time to get to know the other guests, with a campfire and orientation.

Monday after a delicious breakfast guest will have a horse orientation at the barn with riding in the arena. After lunch the first real ride of the week. After dinner out at the chuckwagon we have western dancing for everyone.

Tuesday we offer 2 rides. In the afternoon you can have a riding lesson or go skeet shooting, we provide everything. Our second ride is the dinner ride to our cookout area by lost lake. You will enjoy BBQ chicken and our famous ribs with cowboy beans, corn muffins, watermelon and rootbeer. After you ride back to the ranch you are treated to our homemade ice cream.

Wednesday you have the opportunity to go on a lunch ride several hours ride away from the ranch or try white water rafting on the Colorado River or Arkansa River. Or maybe you want to go to Rocky Mountain National Park to take a hike or go shopping in one of the nearby ski towns. The families that stay at the ranch will ride and the kid's go to the swimming hole with the counselors.

Thursday is our breakfast ride to Tommy's cabin with spectacular views of the Williams Fork range and Ute Peak mountains. While cooking over an open fire we serve scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, cornbeef hash and the best banana bread you have ever tasted. Don't forget the cowboy coffee and hot chocolate! Later that afternoon you don't want to miss the adult gymkhana (games on horseback) Cowboys against the Indians! More Skeet shooting available. Another great dinner served before the funny staff show starts, so don't forget to save your seats.

What would a week at Aspen Canyon Ranch be like if we didn't have an all day ride. Don't miss the opportunity to ride all the way to Williams Peak, over 11,600 ft with an unforgetable view of the Gore Range. If you are not up for an all day ride we offer lunch rides as well. Get all washed up for our all adult meal with white linens and candlelight, while the kid's enjoy a cookout and games. We end the night with Cowboy music and poetry in the lodge.

Even though guest check out on Saturday we have an early morning ride to River Rim! The kid's get to show off there excellent riding skills with a rodeo and prizes, why does it seem like we always have a tie? The goodbyes start after a lunch cookout! Happy Trails, See you next year!

Everyday you have the opportunity to relax after your ride, sit in the hot tubs along the river, flyfish, archery, roping, biking, or just reading a book on a porch swing. Whatever you do at Aspen Canyon Ranch will be a memory of a lifetime for the whole family.
