HISTORY/HOSTS
---
The Bar H bar Ranch has a great history. It was one of the first ranches in Southern Idaho. It was homesteaded by the Mormon church in about 1850. The ruts of the old Oregon Trail can still be seen along the Bear River that runs through the ranch. Our family has been ranching in this area for 5 generation.

We do not follow a schedual but you can expect to participate in all ranch activities. May and June we are ususally mending fences and moving cattle to summer pature. Some branding July and Aug we are continually riding through the cattle to check for sickness and make sure the feed is good. Sometimes we ship cattle in Aug. Sept is the time we gather the cattle, do the preg testing, vacinate and ship cattle to the market.
