| We are nestled deep in the mountains of the Shoshone Natioanl Forest, right in between Blackwater Creek and the Shoshone river offering a beautiful, peaceful, and private setting. Our capacity is perfectly suited to ensure our guests feel relaxed and right at home, not overwhelmed. Tucked in amongst the trees, our cozy log cabins are true western showcases themselves, each with their own private bath, western decor, and lovely covered porches where you can soak up the sounds of nature! Some of the cabins have fireplaces for those chilly, romantic evenings! |

| Ranch life at Blackwater is friendly and fun, however there are no "must's" at Blackwater: we're here to make this the Vacation of Your Dreams! Games and barbecues, cowboy sing-a-longs and other nightly entertainment, hiking and just plain goofing off make this a relaxing, rejuvenating vacation. Choose your favorite Ranch activities: horseback riding on mountain trails or into nearby meadows, fly fishing on the adjacent Shoshone River (instructors available), or indoor and outdoor recreation. Nearby, our guests can enjoy river rafting on the North Fork of the Shoshone, discovering Historical Cody, western rodeos, or a guided day-trip thru Yellowstone National Park and visit the granddaddy of all geysers,Old Faithful. |

We also spend an evening at the World-Famous Cody Night Rodeo, where even the kids get to have some fun! Finally, our proximity to Yellowstone affords our guests with an unequalled all-day guided tour through America's first National Park. |

Over the years, our lives have truly been enriched by the number of new friends that we have made, many of which hve returned to visit us repeatedly! | SUNDAY afternoon: Check-in (3:00 pm) and get acquainted with new friends and the surroundings of the ranch. Fish, hike, and enjoy a dip in our heated pool or simply relax in our adult only hot tub. Evening: Enjoy our authentic western barbecue while overlooking the Absaroka Mountains. MONDAY Morning: Meet your horse for the week, riding instruction, morning and afternoon riding in the spectacular Shoshone National Forest. We often spot wildlife on our rides! Evening: Volleyball tournament where you dudes have a chance have a chance to beat our staff at Blackwater! Adult fly-fishing instruction based on group size and availability. TUESDAY Morning: Breakfast cookout ride! Enjoy your breakfast cooked over an open fire in a truly spectacular setting. Afternoon: Mount up for our popular wine and cheese ride to beautiful June Ridge. Evening: Strap on your dancing shoes and join us in the lodge for loads of fun! WEDNESDAY: Enjoy Historic Cody! Explore Old Trail Town loaded with history from some of the west's most famous figures. Tour the World famous Buffalo Bill Historical Center, (five museums in one), a truly unforgettable experience for the whole family. After lunch explore some of Cody's unique stores and it's off to the Shoshone River for an adventurous rafting trip. Evening: Kids enjoy pin-pong and pool, fly-fishing instruction, or cozy up by the evening fire. THURSDAY: We will treat you to a trip with the most unique geological wonders in the world, Yellowstone National Park! You will be in awe off Old Faithful, the Grand Canyon, and all the wildlife viewed as it should be...In the Wild! FRIDAY: Saddle-Up...Today's ride takes you deep into Shoshone National Forest. This ride is truly spectacular! Enjoy luch cooked over an open fire at the famous Blackwater Fireman's Memorial. Evening: Off we go to Cody's award winning Rodeo! SATURDAY: The morning ride takes you through western meadows along the beautiful Shoshone river. Afternoon is full of fun-filled activities including our Famous Duck Race! Following our delicious steak dinner, join us at the bonfire for an evening of singing, guest skits, stories and roasting marshmellows! SUNDAY Morning: breakfast, lots of hugs and farewells to our dear friends before departure. * There are no "must's" at Blackwater! Participation in activities is completely up to you! After all, it's YOUR vacation! |
