Artist Retreats

The Chico Basin Ranch hosts two to three artist retreats each year. These retreats gather artists to work in a dynamic and unique atmosphere with a wealth of subjects and scenery to paint. Artists spend three days on the Ranch working in various media, learning about the natural and cultural history of the area, and having a great time together. In the fall, we hold an exhibition and sale of the work completed each year, known as the Ranch Collection. Works from the Collection will be displayed in the Ranch office and guest houses, and other venues include local galleries, the Colorado State Capitol, and land and wildlife agency offices.
