LODGING
Authentic, rustic, comfortable and well appointed 1 to 3 bedroom log cabins, private bath with a shower, front porch, and most with stone fireplace. Cabins sleep from 2 to 10 each, offering King, Queen, and Twin beds. Cabins are located at the edge of the lake or nestled among the aspens and pines. Our ranch uses hydro and solar power to support our propane generator.

RECREATION
Summer: Extensive horseback riding daily on challenging mountain trails. We try not to ride nose to tail. Rides for all levels of ability with slow to fast rides. Typcially 2 rides per day, 5 days per week, with a breakfast, dinner, and an all day ride offered. Superb fishing in our private stocked trophy trout lake; rowboats, paddle boats, and canoes available; lake swimming, white water rafting and scenic float trips for the entire family on the Colorado River, occasional cattle drives, horseshoes, volleyball, hiking, western dancing, hot water springs, and golf nearby. Winter: excellent snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and ice skating.

FOR CHILDREN
Children's program for ages 4 to 12 with trail riding for 6 and up. Kid's Counselor to supervise riding, nature hikes, fishing, games, meals, etc. One evening weekly will offer an overnight "camp out" in our tipi located across the lake, complete with roasted hot dogs, marshmallows, and plenty of ghost stories! Most lunches and dinners eaten seperately from adults. Babysitting available with prior notice. A family ride is typically held once per week. Teens will have own program or ride with adults depending on numbers.

FOOD/LIQUOR
Meals are served either in the lodge dining room or cooked outdoors in one of our cookout locations. Healthy, hearty, home-cooked meals served three times daily. Vegetarians easily accommodated with advance notice. No alcohol served - BYOB.

Capacity 30. Excellent for family reunions, retreats, workshops, team building programs, church retreats, or small groups - Open all year for meetings.

Coulter Lake Quest Ranch Inc offers no minimum stays Sept - May with one night stays welcome. Bring your own horse, ATV, or snowmobile and do your own thing. We offer our summer packages as well as winter activities such as snowmobile rentals. Coulter Lake Guest Ranch offers year round fun and relaxation. Winter guests must snowmobile the last two miles to the ranch creating a unique and beautiful experience!

HISTORY/HOSTS
Coulter Lake was first homesteaded in 1897. The ranch then became a hunting camp before slowly evolving into a guest ranch in 1934. Coulter Lake is Colorado's oldest continously operated guest ranch. Jack & Pam Allard became the owners in November and were joined by Joe & Patty Wineland as the ranch managers.

ITINERARY
Off site activities which are an additional fee include white water rafting or float trip on the Colorado River, golfing on 18 hole Rifle Golf Course, a day at the Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, a soak in the Glenwood Springs Hot Springs Pool, shopping, or visits to local wineries.
