LODGING
---
Nestled in the trees along Bear Creek, each Guest at Double E Ranch stays in their own private Ranch House or Log Cabin Bungalow. Completely renovated and tastefully decorated with rustic furnishings and western art, our Guests are provided with all the comforts of home, including down comforters, thick plush bath towels, full and queen sized beds, refrigerators and microwave ovens. Porches, rockers and the sounds of nature are at your door step!
RECREATION
---
Guests make their own trails at Double E Guest Ranch. Seasoned, gentle horses and country as spectacular as any in the Southwest make riding at any level unforgettable. Explore privately protected Indian Ruins. Because we are located in the Gila Riparian Region of the Southwest, guests enjoy abundant birding opportunities, either on foot or on horseback. Being part of the Gila Conglomerate provides unlimited rockhounding sites. View native wildlife in their natural habitats. Year 'round cattle work and horse drives test every guests riding, roping, and reining "cowboy fun-damentals". For avid hikers, overnight backpacking expeditions can also be scheduled.
FOR CHILDREN
---
Double E Guest Ranch does accept children but we do recommend kids be over the age of 12, with a strong interest in horseback riding. For younger children, we offer riding instruction and reserve the right to limit younger riders to Arena work or around Headquarters, only. Helmets are required for young riders under the age of 14.
FOOD/LIQUOR
---
Guests are invited to share delicious home cooked meals with owners, Debbie and Alan Eggleston, family style. We often serve up our own homegrown, chemical free beef and buffalo. Organic fruit and vegetables are also on the menu when available. Food is plentiful and appetizing, desserts are home baked!
BUSINESS/MEETINGS
---
Double E Guest Ranch has developed a specific program designed for Team Building Experiences through Wilderness Survival Techniques or Cattle Work. Contact Headquarters for additional information.

REGION/CUSTOMS
---
Open year'round, Double E Guest Ranch invites new and old Friends to join us for holidays or vacations. The weather is great - even in the winter!
HISTORY/HOSTS
---
Purchased by Debbie and Alan Eggleston in 1996, the 30,000 acre Double E Ranch had been in the same family since the turn of the century and was one of the oldest original ranches in Grant County, New Mexico. Debbie and Alan have worked hard to provide their guests with an authentic taste of New Mexico ranch life. Running Texas Longhorn cattle, all of their ranch work is done horseback.
ITINERARY
---
Your day begins early at Double E Guest Ranch, with a hearty breakfast, served family style. Riders then meet at the barn for either full day or half day rides, depending on the ranch work needed, and riders' skill/ability level. Activities such as round ups are for all levels. Horse gathers are faster rides, and recommended for better riders. Your trails are made -- not followed! There's plenty of wildlife, spectacular, natural scenery. If you listen, you'll hear the beating of an eagle's wings!
