Lodging

Comfortable and cozy accommodations ranging from 1-3 bedrooms in log cabins and historic log lodges with massive rock fireplaces overlooking Flathead Lake. Cabins are nestled in the tall pines surrounded by lush green grounds filled with flowers on the lakes edge. Accommodations are Western motif with traditional log furnishings and country quilts. Each lodge room joins a central lobby with a fireplace. All accommodations have daily maid service.

Activities

The Lodge offers the ultimate family vacation with unlimited horse & water activities. The complete horse program offers private lessons, family rodeo, and endless trails through the private elk preserve and 2,000 acre Montana wilderness. To ease your saddle sores try sailing your own boat, crewing on one of the two 51 Q Class racing sloops, water skiing, or relaxing by the lakeside pool. Nightly activities include rodeo events, barn dance, mountain steak fry, kids tepee overnight, and guest vs. staff volleyball. Also available: whitewater rafting, world class fly fishing, biking, hiking and day trips to Glacier National Park to name a few. Flathead Lake Lodge offers unmatched water, horse, adventure, and leisure recreation for the whole family.

Children

Flathead Lake Lodge is a kid's paradise. The Lodge offers a unique children's program where family interaction is key and children have the freedom to roam the property and the various activities as they'd like. Planned activities take place every morning, afternoon and evening. Children can become "Junior Wranglers" while at the ranch where they will help alongside the friendly wrangles learning to ride, saddle, and care for the horses at the barn. A highlight of the week is the family rodeo where kids can participate with their family, friends, and favorite horses from the week. A "Kid's Camp" gives young children the opportunity to spend a night in authentic teepees on the ranch. The extensive Arts and Crafts program is sure to please every child. Projects are imaginative, creative and fun for children of all ages. For the older children, teenagers enjoy the ranch's wide array of activities such as tubing, wake boarding, sand volleyball, and whitewater rafting. There are teen horse events, sailing and canoe races, all organized for teenagers. Your child will fall in love with Flathead Lake Lodge and make friendships that can last a lifetime.

Dining

Meals at the Lodge reflect a mix of Western elegance, family friendliness, and satisfying comfort. The rustic Lodge and roaring fireplace enhance the Montana inspired cuisine highlighted by fine cuts of meat, fresh local produce, and a hearty Western flare. For the younger ones, a special kid friendly dinner is served nightly. Enjoy a variety of menus including an early morning breakfast ride and mountain steak fry dinner. Happy hour takes place daily in our private Saddle Sore Saloon where tales of the day are swapped freely among guests and cowboys. At Flathead Lake Lodge fine dining is paired with a casual family atmosphere and good home cooking.
