Lodging
Very comfortable 1 to 3 bedroom rustic log cabins from the 1930's & 40's, private bath with a shower, front porch overlooking our lake & mountains, and most with stone fireplace. Cabins sleep from 2 to 8 offering King, Queen, and Twin beds. Cabins are located at the edge of the lake or nestled among the aspens and pines. Our ranch uses hydro and solar power to support our propane generator.
Activities
Summer: Extensive horseback riding daily on mountain trails for all skill levels. We try not to ride nose to tail. Rides for all levels of ability with slow to fast rides. Typically 2 rides per day, 5 days per week, with a breakfast, dinner, and an all day ride offered. Superb fishing in our private lake stocked with beautiful rainbow trout; rowboat, canoe, paddle boats, and kayaks available; lake swimming at the ranch, white water rafting and scenic float trips for the entire family on the Colorado River, occasional cattle drives, horseshoes, volleyball, hiking, western dancing, and target & skeet shooting, with hot water springs and golf nearby. Winter: excellent snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, and ice skating. Big game hunting in the fall, guided & non-guided based at the ranch or in a fully outfitted drop camp.
Children
Children's program for ages 4 to 12 with trail riding for 6 and up. Kid's Counselor to supervise riding, nature hikes, fishing, games, meals, etc. Evening cookout or bonfires complete with roasted hot dogs, marshmallows, and plenty of ghost stories! Most lunches and dinners eaten together as a family. Babysitting available with prior notice. A family ride is typically held once per week. Teens will have own program or ride with adults depending on numbers.
Dining
