Lodging

In the great house, two white marble staircases lead to a maze of spacious corridors hung with distinguished paintings, 23 richly-appointed, commodious bedrooms and eleven suites with masterfully inlaid wood floors, central heating and marble fireplaces. All with private baths. On the ground floor, spacious salons house billiards, a library and reading room, a large modern living room, a colonial dining room with 19th.century Spanish furniture where 22 can sit at three long refectories; a modern breakfast room and tables on the verandah for another dozen diners. Fully-equipped conference rooms are available for large dinners and luncheons, as well as seminars and business events.

Activities

Birdwatching, walks, horseback riding, carriage rides, bicycling, tennis, swimming pool, croquet, and a golf driving range. Villa Maria guests may bathe in the swimming pool before lunch on the veranda. Guests will also enjoy a reception with gauchos carrying flags, folkloric and traditional music and dance - and the Tango. Gauchos' skills on horseback, Polo matches are organized by request, malambo dance with boleadoras and fireworks.

Children

Villa Maria does not accept children under 12 years of age because there are no activities planned for them.

Dining

The Villa Maria cuisine features regional favorites like empanadas and asado, Argentine barbecue. Full board with soft drinks, mineral water and wine are included in the room rates.
