Shell, WY USA
The Hideout Lodge & Guest Ranch, located 1 hour east of Cody and 2 hours from Yellowstone National Park, is an upscale 100-year old, 300,000 acre working cattle, riding, horsemanship and fly-fishing guest ranch located in Shell, Wyoming. This ranch offers the unique combination of a large operational cattle ranch with an upscale hospitality experience and a selection of non-riding activities. Limited to around 25 riding guests on a weekly.
This area is one of the least dense populated in the US and enjoys a seldom seen variety of scenery due the many exposed formations. Depending on the season you can ride in elevations ranging from 4200 to up to 11,000+. Because of the high level of riding and horsemanship, The Hideout enjoys a growing number of international travelers along with US and Canadian travelers looking for a riding ranch.
Lodging, food and personal attention are upscale. The owners and management is very actively involved in the well-being of the guests so no corners are cut. The Hideout staff speaks four languages.
