We are famous for our fly sishing, but we so offer a wide variety of other activities. These include horseback riding, canoeing, hiking and mountain biking or just a relaxing swim in Hebgen Lake. The Ranch wrangler will customize a riding adventure for you. A popular day trip is a ride through the Gallatin National Forest to nearby Coffin Peak and Coffin Lake. Guests will oftentimes combine this trip with a day’s fishing in the pristine and secluded water of Coffin Lake, and enjoy a lunch prepared by our staff.Perhaps canoeing on Hebgen Lake or a day hike or mountain bike ride on the many trials in the adjacent Gallatin National Forest appeals to you. If so, the Ranch has canoes and mountain bikes for your use. We also will arrange more adventuresome guided hiking trips for you in Yellowstone National Park with one of the local outfitters specializing in back country nature hikes. | HISTORY/HOSTS |
 |
Firehole Ranch’s Main Lodge and guest cabins are historic structures built in the late 1940’s. The Ranch opened as a guest ranch in 1947 offering many of the same activities for its guests that are offered today. The main lodge and cabins have been remodeled over the years but still retain the character and charm of Firehole Ranch’s historic beginning.
