HISTORY/HOSTS
The Kay El Bar began as a working cattle ranch with brand registered in 1910. It is as old as any dude ranch in Arizona. The current owners, Joe & Teri Beattie bought the ranch in 2007 after 5 years as returning guests with a keen intrest in the prservation of the ranches history. Michael Poole is an ownership partner who manages the day to day business of the ranch. Beginning with previous owners the Beatties and Michael, too, are dedicated to the natural and historical preservation of the ranch. "We act and feel like stewards, this land owns us" The ranch is listed on the National and Arizona Registers of Historic Places.
