FOR CHILDREN
---
Come join the troop at Fort Laramie, or the tribe at Kamp Kootenai for a real fun western adventure! Fort Laramie is Laughing Water’s own western frontier outpost where you will dress in soldier’s duds and scout the area from horseback just like the cavalry of the western plains. Remember Gen’l Custer? Just over the ridge there is an Indian village with Cheyenne, Sioux and Blackfeet teepees. Will it be an all-out war or peaceful pow-wow? It’s up to you! There is target practice, guard duty, making things, and horse rides for a full week of fun and adventure. On Tuesday night you camp out all night at the Fort. THAT is the night when you have to be on your guard! Kamp Kootenai is for the younger set. Lots to learn about the Native-American culture. How to fix food, make things out of hides, and natural materials, gather things for the village, build a fire in the teepee. You get to dress up in Native American clothes and shoot bow and arrows too! Laughing Water has 3 large teepees each named after a tribe - Cheyenne, Sioux and Blackfeet. You can do an all night campout in the village. We keep the campfires going all night and tell stories. If you feel adventurous you and the Kamp Kootenai counselor may want to make a surprise raid on the soldiers at nearby Fort Laramie! Lots of fun things to do at Kamp Kootenai.
FOOD/LIQUOR
---
The personal touch extends to cuisine, with Huckleberry pie and pancakes as well as scrumptious prime rib, BBQ chicken, steaks and trout fish frys. Meals are served either family style in the Chuckwagon Dining Room or as a cookout at our Two Streams BBQ Site. Though the LW Ranch does not have a liquor license, you're welcome to bring what you like.

In 1996 construction of 4 log cabins brought capacity up to 32 and in 2004 another cabin was contructed that increased capactiy to 38 The owners' son Ted Jr. took over the reins of the ranch in 1996 and runs a professional, family-oriented guest operation. |
