Children's/Teen Programs

Overview:
At Lost Valley we're famous for our outstanding programs for the youngsters. We arrange our children's activities for different ages. Each group is supervised by our staff who join your kids in horseback riding, swimming, hiking, picnics, fishing and crafts. Teens are treated as young adults and have evening as well as daytime programs. You won't hear any complaints!

Below you will find information about our baby-sitting program, children's program and teen's programs as well as a sample schedule for children 6-12.

Ages 0-2 Baby-sitting:
We have one baby-sitter available every morning and afternoon during the adult riding time. The rate for this is $10 an hour or $14 if there are two children in the family. One-on-one baby-sitting is also available on certain evenings during the week. This is also at a rate of $10 an hour.

Ages 3-5 Children's Program:
Group baby-sitting is available during the time of the morning and afternoon horseback rides. The counselor will be in the Ranch House to meet your child five minutes before your ride goes out, and will be waiting on the lawn in front of the Trading Post to watch you dismount when your ride comes in.

Ages 6-12 Children's Program:
We offer a program for your children intended to give them the best possible Ranch experience...while at the same time freeing you to enjoy our Ranch to the utmost.

Ages 13-17 Teen Program:
We offer a program for your teenager (s) intended to give them the best possible Ranch experience. The structure and freedom of the program creates an ideal environment for your teenager to grow and learn.

Sample Schedule for kids 6-12:

Time	Activity
9:00	Children meet on Trading Post steps with Big Bob
9:15	All ages leave on first horseback ride
12:00	LUNCH at the swimming pool
1:25	Meet at Trading Post for afternoon ride
4:00	Children released to parents. Every day the children will be asked to leave the swimming pool area at 4:00 unless one of their parents is present to assume responsibility.
6:30	DINNER with families in Dining Room
7:10	Leave from in front of Trading Post for recreation down at the "Jail"
8:30	Back to the Ranch
