LODGING
Rustic elegance and luxury in its finest form. Our Big Timber Homes come in three varieties: Ponderosa Pine, Douglas Fir and Lodgepole Pine. The Lodgepole Pine Big Timber Homes(2 bdrm/1,440 sq.ft.) are intimate properties for couples on a romantic western getaway or for families. Our Douglas Fir Big Timber Homes(2 bdrm/1,932 sq.ft.) offer a larger floor plan that’s perfect for putting some distance between you and your little cowboys and Indians. The roomy Ponderosa Pine Big Timber Homes(2,430 sq.ft.) feature three bedrooms and can accommodate up to eight people. All homes offer a charming loft and a spacious great room with a beautiful stone fireplace or wood-burning stove. All homes include hot tubs on the back deck and are connected to civilization via flat-screen TV's with satellite, lightning-fast DSL Internet lines, and cordless telephones.

For larger families and executive teams, we have a new accommodation: The Wilderness Estates. These 3,200 square-foot homes feature three master-bedroom suites, three master bathrooms ensuite, a loft gameroom, five 42" plasma TVs, and 1,800 square-feet of deck space. We also have the 4-bedroom Blackfoot River Lodge and historical 4-bedroom Morris House. Each comfortably accommodating 6 – 8 people.

Offering approximately 1,300 square feet of pure comfort our cozier Meadow Homes provide plenty of room to roam for both couples and families on vacation in Montana. Each Meadow Home has two large bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a laundry room, and plenty of storage for luggage and recreational gear.

For those who want a higher level of togetherness, The Bunkhouse is the place to stay. Formerly a hayloft, this traditional barn has been converted into a living area that sleeps six on six single beds. Other luxury resort amenities include a spacious living room, dining room, fully-outfitted kitchen, and a big-screen TV.

Tent City and River Camp at Paws Up make up our "Glamping" (Glamorous Camping) Accommodations......There's camping and then there's camping Paws Up style. Tent City and River Camp are quite possibility the most intriguing places you'll ever stay. On the exterior, you'll find spacious, exquisitely appointed tents placing you at one with the Montana wilderness. However, on the interior these unique abodes are less tent and more reminiscent of a room found at a luxury resort. They feature real beds, fine linens, art on the walls and, yes, electricity.

RECREATION
In the Summer, Onsite activities include horseback riding, fly-fishing on the Blackfoot River, hiking, swimming, rappelling, kayaking, ATV riding, mountain biking, sporting clays shooting, trail rides and wildlife viewing on our sweeping 37,000 acres. Offsite activities include unforgettable pack trips in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, big game hunting, fishing Montana’s famous Blue Ribbon trout streams and rivers like the Bitterroot and Rock Creek, rafting, mountain biking, hiking, lake activities, and Montana sites and attractions.

Winter is a time for any sport that makes use of a land blanketed by white. Paws Up offers a full variety of winter activities for those who crave the fresh powder. Take advantage of the vast surrounding natural resources including mountains, lakes and our 100-mile trail system all in a winter wonderland Jack Frost would be proud of. Winter activities at Paws Up include: Snowmobiling, Cross-Country Skiing, Dog Sledding, Snowshoeing, Ice Skating, Sleigh Rides, Winter ATV Riding, Horseback Riding, Ice Climbing and much more. On over 100 miles of trails, the RPMs race as well as your heartbeat as you blaze a trail through virgin powder amidst towering pines and before an audience of curious animal onlookers. This is snowmobiling Montana-style and it doesn't get any better. The crisp, clear days add a clarity to your senses you've probably never experienced before. With your eyes wide open–as well as your jaw–you'll soak up the majesty of the biggest sky in the world. The Garnet Mountain Range will serve as the ultimate picturesque backdrop as you explore Garnet, Montana's best-preserved Ghost Town. In the winter, Garnet is only accessible by snowmobile, so the only tracks you're likely to see (other than your own) belong to the resident wildlife.

FOR CHILDREN
The Resort at Paws Up welcomes children of all ages. The majority of our daily activities are family focused and allow for everyone over the age of seven to participate. We highly recommend that families with children under seven bring a nanny as our programs are not tailored to the little-bitty buckaroos.

The Paws Up Kids Corps of Discovery offers a children’s program of fun activities catered to our little buckaroos. Kids will have a blast learning about horses and other ranch animals, hiking, cooking, making crafts, fishing, playing games and sports, swimming and much more.

FOOD/LIQUOR
An extraordinary array of culinary delights ranging from gourmet four-course meals to authentic barbeques. Preparing these delectable meals is our very own Executive Chef Wes Coffel. Pomp is open nightly for dinner and offers guests the finest culinary experience in Montana. The Trough, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offers a more casual menu.

Tank bar & lounge is an intimate and comfortable bar with a modern Western look. Guests may enjoy the expansive views of the surrouding mountains and the cosiness of the lounge's wood-burning fireplace, whether they are sitting inside on one of several comfortable couches and chairs, or outside on the heated patio. Tank offers a large selection of refreshments and cocktails.

BUSINESS/MEETINGS
The Resort at Paws Up is a complete destination for groups that range from small, intimate gatherings to incentive and corporate retreats. We not only provide the space for successful corporate events, but we also provide a unique environment to regenerate, revitalize and reward. Our meeting facilities offer flexibility inside and out, all nestled within a magnificent ranch resort in Montana. With adventures abounding for all seasons, incentive retreats, corporate teambuilding and wellness programs have never been better.

First-class accommodations, state-of-art facilities and world-class views make The Resort at Paws Up, truly, The Last Best Meeting Place.

REGION/CUSTOMS
The Resort and surrounding area is saturated with the history of the west. The geographic remains of the glacial fields and old Glacial Lake Missoula are evident on the property telling the tale of the forming of the Rocky Mountains. Meriwether Lewis of Lewis and Clark traveled through the ranch on the Blackfoot River as he proceeded on that historic journey. Landmarks mentioned in the journals of the Lewis and Clark expedition highlight Paws Up land. Just a few miles from the resort is Garnet Ghost town, a once-thriving mining town on the trail from Helena to Missoula. Guests comments will echo those of Meriwether Lewis who said, "Much Pleased at Having Arrived at this Long Wished For Spot."

HISTORY/HOSTS
The Resort at Paws Up is a 37,000-acre resort nestled in the foothills of the Garnet Mountains and the heart of the Blackfoot Valley in Montana. The resort is framed with the vistas of the Bob Marshall Wilderness, Scapegoat Wilderness and the magnificent Mission Mountains. Meandering through the heart of the property are seven miles of the majestic Blackfoot River.

Modernized with recent construction, the Resort at Paws Up today includes a historical working cattle ranch with modern-day facilities and amenities. The condition of the resort reflects a strong pride of ownership of the current deeded stewards. Given the pristine environment and modernized amenities the Resort at Paws Up truly is "The Last Best Place."
