Labour Day Weekend at the RODEO

The North Thompson Fall Fair & Rodeo started back in 1950 as a celebration of agriculture, livestock, western country living and community spirit. Still going strong and in it's 62nd year, the focus remains the same. The Rodeo will feature saddle bronc, bareback riding, bull riding, tie down roping, steer wrestling, break away roping and team roping; not forgetting barrel racing, the only rodeo event for women. In addition we also get the opportunity to watch some Chariot Racing and the Pony Chuckwagon race.
The North Thompson Fall Fair and Rodeo rodeo is held on all 3 days of the Labour Day weekend and we have tailored a weekend package to take advantage of this great event.
On Friday arrive after 4pm and join us for a special Rodeo themed dinner.
Then on Saturday after breakfast, we will head out to the Fair Grounds at Barriere arriving in plenty of time for you to see some of the exhibits and shows before the Parade begins. Enjoy lunch straight out of the chuckwagon and then enjoy the Rodeo followed by the amazing Chuckwagon Races. After the rodeo, we will have dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to the ranch.
Sunday - after breakfast, head out on the trail for a morning ride followed by lunch at the ranch. After lunch head out on the trail again in a different direction and relax for a while before dinner.
On Monday enjoy one final trail ride in the morning. Depart after lunch.

Saviah Cellars is a family-owned and operated artisan winery located in the Walla Walla Valley of southeastern Washington. The winery specializes in producing ulta-premium wines that showcase the best of Washington's vineyards.
The familly's heritage is reflected in its Star Meadows white wine, the location of the orignal family homestead, its Une Vallee red wine inspired by the current family homestead called "One Valley", and its Big Sky Cuvee in honor of their Montana roots.
Winemaker, Richard Funk and his wife Anita are both natives of Montana who relocated to Walla Walla in 1991.

Calling all cowgirls to join the Klicks for Chicks!
The ride, 100 kilometers (62 miles), an all-womans ride will be for 'chicks' only. While traveling companions are welcome to the many exciting activities and luxurious accommodations Triple Creek Ranch has to offer; cowgirls will venture into deep canyons, over mountain passes, past crystal clear lakes and through pristine meadows to discover the 'last frontier' and wilds of the Rocky Mountain West. As the adventure progresses, riders return each evening to the ranch where the home fires burn and cocktails, gourmet food and luxury cabins await. Then after a restful night, cowgirls mount up and venture out for another day on the scenic 'Big Sky' frontier.
So, Cowgirl-Up! Be aware that this ride will test the true endurance of each participant, while rekindling the bonds and the spirit of America's strong-willed pioneering women.
A fireside awards ceremony at the home of Triple Creek Ranch's owner will follow the last day's ride. Included in this adventure is a Triple Creek Ranch gift and stories to re-tell for a lifetime.
