LODGING
Handcrafted furnishings, fabrics and artifacts lend an artisan’s touch to every room. From the original Ranch rooms that capture the flavor of the southwest, to the luxurious Maricopa suites, each casita features a private patio that lets you appreciate the tranquility of the outdoors…plus a private bath, air conditioning, color TV, and telephone with dataport. For extra flexibility, many of the casitas can be connected by an additional bedroom or living room.

RECREATION
Explore the serenity of the high Sonoran desert terrain on a horse chosen to match your riding ability from our string of 100. Tee off on the 18-hole championship layout Golf Digest called “one of America’s Top 75 Resort Courses.” Or relax at the new Spa at Los Caballeros. breathtaking tour by jeep, mountain bike or hot air balloon. Trap and skeet, tennis lessons, guided nature hikes or a leisurely swim. Team penning just like the real cowboys. An excursion to nearby Wickenburg for the colorful shops, galleries, antique stores and renowned Western museum. A day trip to Sedona, ghost towns or the Grand Canyon. And, always, the exhilarating pleasures of desert golf and horseback rides along rugged trails.

FOR CHILDREN
The Caballeros Kids Club counselors look after 5 to 12-year-olds as a group from 8am–1:30pm and again from 6–9pm…all at no charge. The counselor accompanies children to all three meals, occupies the evenings with games, and in the morning takes them swimming, hiking and riding. Children 8 and older can enjoy trail rides, and those under 8 can enjoy corral rides.

FOOD/LIQUOR
Because a vacation is more relaxing when all meals are included in the price of your stay, the chef and culinary team serve three delicious meals daily. Breakfast is a full buffet with everything from homemade biscuits to made-to-order omelets, and lunch is also a buffet with poolside dining available. The dinner menu, which changes every evening, includes a choice of two soups or salads, five delectable entrees, and (of course) dessert. No reservations are necessary —you’re expected! A favorite tradition at Rancho de los Caballeros is gathering in The Saloon, the full-service bar, to watch the sunset unfold over the Bradshaw Mountain range.

BUSINESS/MEETINGS
For board meetings, incentive trips, executive conferences, banquets and other gatherings, Rancho de los Caballeros is the perfect setting. The 4,500 sq.ft. Palo Verde Conference Center is a separate complex nestled in a beautifully secluded setting. Host a grand meeting in the 3,400 sq.ft. Sonoran Room that divides into four sections, or a breakout session in the scenic Palo Verde Room. A spacious covered porch and patio allows for refreshing breaks under picturesque Arizona skies…even an outdoor luncheon catered by the conference center’s own kitchen. And the inviting golf clubhouse overlooking the Bradshaw Mountains is ideal for a large reception, keynote dinner or other group event with up to 100 people.

HISTORY/HOSTS
During the 1930s, Dallas Gant spent his winters managing a guest ranch in Wickenburg and summers managing the Bishop's Lodge in Santa Fe. There he met Edie, and after their 1941 wedding they returned to Wickenburg. Two winter visitors so enjoyed their guest ranch hospitality that they formed a partnership with the Gants and created Rancho de los Caballeros. Opened in 1947, the ranch honors the style of the Spanish caballeros — “gentlemen on horseback” who brought their traditions of skillful riding and gracious living to the untamed desert. Today this historic guest ranch and golf club is managed by Dallas and Edie's son, Rusty Gant.
