LODGING
---
Sundance Trail accommodates up to 7 families at a time. Your home here in the Colorado Rockies will include family sized suites in either the newly renovated lodge or newly built cabins. Each suite is professionally decorated and unique, and each has its own private bath, coffee service, refrigerator, clock radio, daily housekeeping, queen bed and twins/bunks for the kids. Cribs are available. Two suites in our lodge are wheelchair friendly.
RECREATION
---
Riding the mountain trails and meadows of the Roosevelt National Forest is the principle activity at Sundance Trail. We enjoy teaching beginning riders and are flexible enough to challenge and satisfy experienced riders as well. Experienced wranglers, under the supervision of our American Associuation of Horsemanship Safety certified Head Wrangler, match you with a horse who best suits your skill level, and who will be your horse throughout your stay. Other activities offer something for everyone in an unstructured atmosphere, including white water rafting trips and float trips down the Cache La Poudre River every Thursday, off road jeep trips, hiking, lake fishing for cutthroat trout and river fishing for brown and rainbow trout, riflery, archery, and, of course, hammocks for afternoon naps! In the evening we have sunset hikes, campfires, professional entertainers, indoor games, ping-pong, pool, and the Jaccuzzi.
FOR CHILDREN
---
Children may opt to participate in ranch activities with their family or join in with our counselor/wranglers for their own special activities. Little Kids enjoy gathering eggs from the hen house, playing with the ever-present kittens or goats, sing-alongs, picnics, treasure hunts, movies, games, fishing, and crafts (A list of local babysitters is available for those not yet old enough to participate.) Older Kids enjoy learning outdoor skills such as orienteering with compass, astronomy, riflery, archery, horse care, etc. Teens may participate in care and feeding of the horses, if they want, as assistant or novice wranglers. One evening each week, all of the young folks enjoy stories around the campfire with their own camp-out in our teepee. Meanwhile, adults catch their breath with a quiet, candle light dinner at the lodge... a great midweek experience for everyone!
FOOD/LIQUOR
---
We invite our guests to join us for appetizers on one of the decks or porches each afternoon before dinner - a good time to talk about your day's adventures! Meals are served family style, hearty western. Plan on steaks, ribs, barbecue, and home baked breads and deserts. You can even follow our fresh ranch eggs from the hen house to your breakfast table! (We are also happy to accommodate any special or therapeutic diets, with advanced notice.)
BUSINESS/MEETINGS
---
The Eagle's Nest recreation building can be an ideal meeting place for groups up to twenty-four people. Furniture, equipment, phone, fax, and e-mail are available. If you have a business conference, seminar or retreat, a family reunion or wedding, you may choose to reserve the ranch for your gathering. For more information, rates, and dates, give us a call.

HISTORY/HOSTS
---
In the late 1800's, our property was part of the Cold Spring Park Ranch, owned by Sir Cecil and Lady Catherine Moon. Our trail rides often pass the barn where "Lady Katy" was murdered. Our guests occasionally meet her ghost when walking at night; very polite and very gentle, thick Irish brogue, a bit confused but very sweet and loveable... a ghost that doesn't scare children! Come learn the whole fascinating story of their life and times in the wild wild west of the 1800's.
