RECREATION
---
Situated in a wilderness paradise, the Ranch specializes in family vacations, with an emphasis on western horseback riding, trout fishing, wildlife watching and hiking. With over seventy head of mountain savvy Quarter horses suited to all riding levels, there are unlimited riding opportunities, from high country mountain trails and wildflower covered meadows to the open prairie, where you can see for miles. After horsemanship, daily activities are planned with you, allowing flexibility and different options. Early risers are welcome to help feed and groom the horses. Our wranglers are always available for extra instruction. Adult only weeks June 7-13 and August 30 - September 25. Out of the saddle, you can enjoy fly-fishing instruction at the ranch trout ponds to whet your appetite for fishing the Sun River or Gibson Lake for Rainbow, Cutthroat or Brown Trout. Guided interpretive tours, non-technical mountain climbing, endless hiking opportunities, and wildlife watching provide a blend of relaxation and excitement. Western cook-outs and evening campfires with authentic cowboy poetry and singing allow for a relaxing end to a busy day at the JJJ. While some come to the Ranch to stay for a week, others choose to go on a 5 - 8 day Horsepack Trip into the famous Bob Marshall Wilderness. Fully outfitted, these trips are a four star adventure. Each pack-trip is unique with itineraries ranging from base-camp oriented to trips that traverse the wilderness. See triplejranch.com for summer itinerary and additional pictures.

REGION/CUSTOMS
---
The Ranch is located at the end of a gravel road just inside the majestic Rocky Mountain Front. It is surrounded by the Lewis & Clark National Forest, and the famous Bob Marshall Wilderness is just out the backdoor. The “Bob” encompasses over a million acres of roadless beauty, including the Continental Divide. This area is known for spectacular mountain rock formatations, aspens, pines and large meadow areas. This is big, cowboy country and is still unspoiled and unforgettable. From late June to early August, ask about participating in "top of the world" rides to Elk Hill in the Bob Marshall Wilderness, pontoon boat rides on Gibson Lake, or fly-fishing excursions to the North Fork of the Sun River. The Augusta rodeo is Sunday, June 29. If you would like to attend, visit with us about obtaining tickets and arriving earlier.
