LODGING
---
Ranch buildings are a wonderful combination of new comfort and old charm. Guest rooms have private baths most with queen beds, bunks and doubles for the kids. Large sitting rooms with two fireplaces. Library, TV and billiard room. The deck spa and 35 x 90 foot swimming pool are fed by crystal clear hot springs. Lots of porch space to catch the cool breeze. Large barn with upstairs music and square-dance hall.
RECREATION
---
Horseback rides available every morning and afternoon, from one hour to all day. Rides are grouped by ability or families may ride together. Three cookout rides, arena games, cattle penning, beginner instruction rides to advanced loping rides. Ride above timberline for the "high point" of the week. Rafting, 4x4 trips, hayrides, overnight campouts, fishing, square dancing, swimming and western music shows are all included.
FOR CHILDREN
---
Children are included in most activities at the ranch, so your family can enjoy doing things together. Riding begins at 6 years of age, with some activities planned 'specially for kids. Ride together or take an adult ride while the kids go with their counselor, it's your choice. Lots of room to romp and just be a kid in this natural playground with no poisonous snakes. When it is time to head for home, you may have to pull them off the front porch rail!
FOOD/LIQUOR
---
Plan to fill up on plenty of down home cooking. Meals are served family and buffet style, with snacks available in-between. Three cookouts during the week at different forest locations. Homemade dishes, breads and desserts in abundance. Our no alcohol policy compliments the family atmosphere.

HISTORY/HOSTS
---
Originally a neutral meeting ground for local Ute Indian tribes, Waunita was homesteaded in the 1880’s. By 1900, Waunita Hot Springs had become a world renown health spa. Visitors were attracted to not only the springs, but the beauty of the remote mountain setting. The great depression of the 1930’s saw a decline in resort travel and Waunita fell on hard times. The hot springs were purchased in 1962 by the Pringle family, eager to share the beauty of the area and enjoyment of ranch living. Three generations now host you at the ranch, riding horses, fishing and enjoying the natrual beauty of hundreds of square miles of National Forest.
