LODGING
We offer 3 different types of lodging experiences:
Guest Lodge-
Nestled at the foot of Williams Peak, the Dahle Guest Lodge is a comfortable, Western-décor retreat named after the original Norwegian homesteaders who settled the ranch in 1911.The view from the enormous wrap-around porch is tremendous. Soak it in sitting in the hot tub or while grilling freshly caught fish. Lake Dahle is only ten steps away, so if you are really talented you may not even have to leave the deck to reel in dinner.
Homestead Retreats-
Take advantage of two nearby homesteads as day or overnight cabins throughout your stay. The Horn homestead sits on Skylark Creek and is just a short walk to Lake McCandless – an ideal destination for picnicking and fishing.
Camping-
Camping:
Experience a night under a blanket of stars at our campsite overlooking Jess’s Pond. Encounter the thrill of feisty colorful brook trout as they jump at dusk, and hear the crackle of the fire as you enjoy ghost stories and s’mores into the wee hours of the night. When the soft strumming of the guitar makes you drowsy, snuggle into your sleeping bag atop a bed of shavings for restful sleep. Our lakeside campground is perfect for use in conjunction with the guest lodge to accommodate larger families or groups.

RECREATION
With plenty of space to explore and numerous authentic ranch experiences to be had, visitors will find it difficult to get bored. Our staff members are expert guides of the ranch adventure and will customize activities to make every day an experience you will always remember.
ATVs - Blast through our forest trails, across creeks, winding up hills and through meadows.
Cattle Drives - Ride high on one of our quarter horses while rounding up cattle in the pastures. Take the family on a cattle drive, or if the timing is right, join us on an overnight pack trip.
Cross-Country Skiing - Find yourself in the midst of an aspen grove where the tree bark blends into the snow and you’ll wonder if there’s anyplace you’d rather be. Traditional Nordic skiing at the ranch can be as challenging or relaxing as you’d like.
Hiking - Indulge in exquisite peacefulness as you follow one of the many game trails through the timbered trees, wander past shimmering waters, and over gently rolling hills.
Horseback Riding - Saddle up and explore our rolling hills, gorgeous meadows and mountain trails – or get expert tips on an instructional ride in our 30,000 square foot heated indoor arena. If a sunset ride isn’t adventurous enough for you, join our experienced riders as they practice for the rodeo at the ranch. Grab a seat and your heart will pound with the horse hooves while we’re running barrels or team roping. If you have some horsemanship under your belt, hop on a horse and join in.
Rodeo - Are you rodeo ready? Join our family at the local rodeo. The Miniat girls are actively involved in rodeo competitions – watch the tight turns during the barrel racing and the skilled flick of the wrist during quick release roping. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to see our ranch hands riding the bucking broncos with the best of them.
We also offer winter sports including:
Snowmobiling - Rocket past the aspens along our many trails or bust through the deep powder in a meadow – our guides know all the best spots.
Snowshoeing - Whether you’re trekking the cross-country or snowmobile trails or breaking your own trail, the land is expansive and adventure is imminent.
Sporting Clays - We have a limited supply of vests, shells, clays and shot guns available, and guests are encouraged to bring their own equipment.
Wildlife Viewing and Birdwatching - The Ranch is a big game transition range, meaning that elk and mule deer calve and fawn on-site. Moose, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, elk, coyotes and fox all call Williams Peak Ranch home. Bald eagles soar overhead, and golden eagle nests are a short hike away. Herons, red tailed hawks, sage and blue grouse are frequently seen as well. If you are lucky, you may spot a black bear or mountain lion passing through.
Yoga Retreats
Strengthen your mind and body as you feel the energy from Mother Nature both invigorate and relax you. Peacefulness and serenity can be found everywhere in this high-country sanctuary. Williams Peak Ranch offers yoga retreats, please call for further details.
We also have many nearby attractions including:
Downhill skiing at Winter Park
Rafting the Colorado River
Kayaking at Sylvan Reservoir
Natural hot springs
Rocky Mountain National Park
Dog sledding
Mountain biking
Alpine slide
Mini golf
Climbing at the nearby rock wall

FOOD/LIQUOR
Our guest lodge is stocked with a few basics such as coffee and condiments. Quality catering is included in all ranch vacations, but you may choose to self-cater, or for your convenience we can buy groceries for you at an additional expense. If you choose to self-cater your price will be adjusted accordingly.

REGION/CUSTOMS
Nestled at the foot of Williams Peak, the Dahle Guest Lodge is a comfortable, Western-décor retreat named after the original Norwegian homesteaders who settled the ranch in 1911.The view from the enormous wrap-around porch is tremendous. Soak it in sitting in the hot tub or while grilling freshly caught fish. Lake Dahle is only ten steps away, so if you are really talented you may not even have to leave the deck to reel in dinner. As our only guests at the ranch, you get to enjoy all 7400 acres of trees, meadows, lakes and activities all to yourself. And if you want, we can even hire a local Cowboy Band to play just for you and your family.

HISTORY/HOSTS
The Ute Indians originally settled the area around what is now Williams Peak Ranch, seeking therapeutic relief at the nearby hot springs. With the passing of the Homestead Act of 1862, adventurous pioneers seized the opportunity to make their home in the rugged West for $1.25 an acre (or for free if they stayed for five years).

A core value that drives this is the Miniat family’s desire to cater to a society that wants to live and eat healthfully. In fact, Williams Peak Ranch is a contributor to Chipotle’s “Food With Integrity”, supplying high quality, antibiotic-free beef that is packed at the Miniat family plant and sent to Chipotle and other locations around the country.
The 1906 arrival of the railroad in Parshall introduced a new method of cattle transportation along with droves of settlers. Williams Peak Ranch is a patchwork of rich history, comprised of what remains of about a dozen homesteads. The Dahle Guest Lodge, for example, is the renovated home of the Norwegian Dahle family that settled it in 1910. But the land remains wild and natural, thanks to the conservation efforts of the Miniat family.

In addition to supplying naturally raised nourishment, Williams Peak Ranch offers a modern retreat boasting the best of the qualities that drew the pioneers and Ute Indians before them. A visit to the ranch is a glimpse into the wild, traditional West with adventures abound. With mountain panoramas and natural alpine beauty, peace and tranquility can be found in every direction. The Miniat family invites you to join them for your own mountain ranch experience.
