The historical Wit's End Guest Ranch, Resort & Spa welcomes you to hunt in our little corner of the world. Over two million acres of breathtaking views await you. The remote settings and pristine beauty all add to your exciting adventure in the rugged atmosphere of the mighty San Juan's! Our local guides have several years of experience in this area guiding for large game. We have spent countless hours each season scouting and locating game so your hunt will be a memorable one.
Colorado's elk herds are and will stay the largest of all western states. Chances of taking a Boone and Crockett buck in Colorado are three times as great as in any other state. In fifteen years of hunting, over 61 bucks with spreads better than 30" wide have been harvested. Although Wit's End Guest Ranch, Resort & Spa does not guarantee all guests their game, we feel each individual has a great chance of filling their tags.
All hunts are fair chase in scenic Colorado.
Included in the following package prices are riding horses, pack animals, packing out game, and base camp with all supplies. Our camp cook will prepare and provide all meals. All package hunts are based on a 7 day hunt. Prices will vary due to different lengths of seasons.
Basic Drop Camps
$1,000 to $1,200 per person, depending on location.
A basic drop camp will consist of a wall tent and a stove.
Horses will be provided for the trip in and out, including one meat check on the third day. One pack horse will be provided for every two hunters. Pack horses will carry a max wt. of 200 lbs. For every extra pack horse needed there will be a charge of $100 per horse, per day.
Prices for Extra Amenities:
Wrangler: $150 per day
Camp Cook: $250 per day
Guide: $300 per day (up to 4 hunters)
Food: $70 per person per day
Cooking Gear: Complete set @ $40
Tents: 4 man tents are $75 per trip or $125 for a 6 man tent.
Meat Check: $150
Packing and caping game: Prices may vary pending on game and location.
The dates for all the hunts are on the internet. The draw unit is 751.
