Lazy L&B Ranch
About the ranch
The heart of the Lazy L &B Ranch is its unsurpassed horseback riding program and there’s no better way to explore the spectacular, untouched landscape surrounding our beautiful Wyoming dude ranch. We are surrounded by 80,000 acres of wildlife reserve, so you will have the chance to see all kinds of wildlife. You’ll never ride the same trail twice, whether it’s the Shoshone Forest, red sand draws, cottonwood-lined rivers, mountain meadows or high desert. We ride everyday and cater to all abilities. We keep groups small and like to spread out where the terrain allows. Whether it be grooming, tacking up or feeding the horses, you’re welcome to participate as much or as little as you like.
Wyoming fly-fishing at the Lazy L &B Ranch and the Upper Wind River area is every bit as good as the famous waters of the nearby Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. The clear waters that flow are home to Rainbow, Cutthroat and Brown Trout and in this part of Wyoming, the fish are still eager to take a fly and remind you why fishing here is such a popular activity.
If you've been thinking about visiting a guest ranch in Wyoming, you won't find a better place!

History & hosts
This Wyoming 'dude' ranch, dates back to the 1920s. The main part of the lodge is the original homestead cabin and some buildings still have the authentic western flavor of the original sheep and cattle ranch, settled by Scottish homesteaders in the 1890's. The East Fork valley of today was known back then as the Scotch Valley.
This is the true west where names ring with the legends of the Wild West. This is the land of Jim Bridger and the Mountain men, the Arapahoe and Shoshone Indians, Lewis and Clark, Sacajawea, Chief Washakie, Buffalo Bill, the Pony Express, and the Oregon Trail.

When to go
Each month has its own charms. June is springtime in our area with opportunities to see wildlife with their young and wildflowers are in bloom. Temperatures warm up in July and August but the constant breeze means it's always pleasant to ride. Toward the end of August/beginning of September things start to cool off but the early morning frost disappears quickly as the sun comes up. The last week of August and the first week of September are Adult Only weeks.
